Dorie Howell is a professional photographer located in the Washington, DC suburbs who has been in business for over 9 years.She is the co-founder of the IPS Mastermind Education Site  and also one of the founders of the incredibly popular Facebook Group IPS Mastermind, formerly In Person Sales for the Professional Photographer.  Her desire for photographers to learn and profit from proper business practices.  There is nothing better than seeing someone’s business grow and flourish because of what they have learned as a result of the education IPS Mastermind provides.  Dorie believes that as more photographers price themselves well and provide great service for their clients, the better it will be for all of them personally and for the industry.Dorie specializes in photographing newborns and children and is very aware of the attitude toward her kind of photography in the industry.  It is her goal to break down the stigma of being a mom with a camera vs. a professional business owner.Dorie’s work has been on the inside pages of Women’s Day and Ladies Home Journal, on the cover of Washington Parent Magazine and several other publications.  She has been featured on air on  Fox 5 DC morning news and can be seen all around town promoting her business.Dorie lives with her sassy, precocious 10 year old daughter (who never lets her take a picture of her) and her patient husband of 14 years.   Dorie is available for public speaking engagements, podcasts and other educational events.  Dorie is also available for one on one mentoring and specializes in areas of marketing, photo critique, client communication and customer service.
